Project
Overview
Problem Statement
Currently, several web platforms host competitions, but these are difficult to use, not very user-friendly, and have a deficiency in how to guide them when they are in one that is on-site.
Objective
Understand the needs of people participating in sporting events of various kinds and sizes (spectators, judges, competitors), which can be served through a single application.
Solution
Create an application where users can stay informed of:
a) The available competitions and their characteristics (date, price, difficulty, location, and others)
b) Notifications of sports activities of interest
c) Purchase of tickets, and
d) Visualize the results of the competitions, among others.

Discover
For the discovering phase, we started digging around first by learning about the real struggle while organizing or assisting in a competition. The first approach we used was to conduct 30 surveys that determined if the person had attended a national competition.
The second step was creating ten user interviews to qualitatively investigate whether people were assisted in competitions and learn about their goals and pains while helping one. In this, we looked to the bigger picture and realized there were several types of users when there was a new competition.
Insights
Interest to have an application to register for national competitions.
It is essential to have an application to view the description of the workouts.
It is important to have an application to view a leaderboard live.
It is essential to have an application to find national competencies.
Competitive Analysis
Competitive analysis is the phase in which the designer and their team search for strengths and weaknesses in current potential competitors. I did research looking for similar products and compared a total of 5 platforms.

Moderated Usability Testing
We prepared a usability test for the users in which we included five tasks. These tasks consisted in using the main features of the application and during they use the prototype they should say, feel, make and express in their own words
Log in and create account
You are looking for an application where you can know all about national and related competitions so you want to download it and start using it.
Follow a competition
Once your ticket purchase is complete, you want to follow the competition to receive notifications and stay updated on what is happening
Enroll in the competition
You have found the competition you were looking for so you want to enter the competition.
Visualize a heat
He wants to know in which heat his friend who is also competing is in to know what time he competes and follow him.
Buy tickets
He wants his family/friends to go see him at the competition so he buys the tickets for them.
Outcome
By having a platform that users feel comfortable using and knowing what they want, the experience through the applications is user-centered. Users can pay attention to what is happening on the stage and their phones.
Learnings
Interviewing users and conducting more user testing in multiple stages will help to overcome obstacles that appeared during the development stage.
