About Remote Patient App
The remote patient app is a monitoring company specializing in close tracking of patients with implantable cardiac devices. They wanted to develop an application in which the Physicians and patients could interact, and have clear information about dates and notes about their devices.
Responsibilities
User Research
Empathize platform research, competitor analysis.
UX Design
Owner of all design phases lifecycle: from research, analysis, ideation, prototyping, and testing
User Flows
Creation of user flows, wireframes, prototypes with a user-centered design with an understanding of the business and user needs
UI Design
Design execution of elements for the complete interface like buttons, navigational components, cards, and information components
Prototyping
Creation of functional prototypes using Sketch and InVision and delivering user stories with specific functionality for components, tables, and screens
Challenge
Create an interface integrating multiple cardiac device manufacturers’ data stores to extract patient data. The visualization of extracted patient data into a privately accessible single database. Analyze the data and generate reports based on extracted patient data, for consumption by clinicians, nurses, and doctors. Lastly, the company needed a mechanism for clinicians, nurses and doctors to view, analyze and process the reports.
Users
Physicians and Cardiac device Patients
Goal
Develop a combination of available secure APIs, with automated web integration and direct export of reports with multiple cardiac device manufacturers’ data stores. Deliver necessary patient information using image processing, object detection, pdf processing.
Outcome
Having an interactive, faster and intuitive way to communicate better between physician and patient has become a facilitator to remind dates, notes, prescriptions and more. With the implemented technology the customer was able to increase concurrent patient monitoring by 600%.
